On being a Teacher

2014 has been a busy year so far and is proving to be full of new experiences. This spring, I taught my first class for a group of excellent high school students. I definitely learned a LOT, but it was a very rewarding experience as well.

In my 12-week class, the students learned about HTML5, about coding with CSS and about how to navigate WordPress as a Content Management System. As part of the class, I created a site and posted resources that they could all access. They were also able to comment and communicate with each other through the blog. It worked out pretty well, I think.

So, without further ado, over the next two weeks I will be sharing selected informative, nerdy posts I wrote to my group of “Cool Coders” on the site. Enjoy!
